Dock and Door Overhead Repair Technician

We are seeking Warehouse/Dock and Door Equipment Technicians to install and repair adjustable docks, overhead doors, dock levelers, racking/shelving, truck restraints and other industrial products.  The successful candidate will travel to customers and report directly to the Branch Manager. Career-oriented technicians with superior Customer Service and Organizational skills are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

This position requires a minimum 2-years mechanical experience, hand tools and knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems. Industry experience is strongly desired but related background/training will be considered.

Candidates must be able to weld and use a cutting torch. Certified welder are preferred. The ability to operate any power tool and work in outdoor conditions as weather permits for repairs and installations is required. Cannot be afraid of heights. This person should be people oriented as they will need to work with customers, interface with other branch team members, management  as well as work well on their own.

Computer skills required include MS Office and general familiarity in a windows environment.

Must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record. Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.

Power Generator Technicians

Locations: Bristol, PA, North Jersey, North Maryland

This position is responsible for emergency breakdown and warranty repairs to all makes of generators and accessories, switches and switchgear for existing and new customers, on-site customer relations, ordering parts through the parts department, completion of all associated reporting (our repair orders and time sheets are electronic and completed on a laptop). Maximize billable hours to outside labor; proper care and maintenance of Modern vehicle and tools; maintain schedule of customer commitments.  Willingness to work overtime and night hours as required.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated and have had generator repair training (Generac  training is a plus), 2-3 years experience working on generator sets, automatic transfer switches and engines.  Experience with Generac, Cummins, Onan, Kohler, Cat and Asco preferred.  Strong troubleshooting and schematic reading skills are essential, and possess necessary tool inventory for repair completion.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office is desired and computer skills are required. 
  • A clean driving record is necessary as you will be issued a Modern vehicle and all employees must pass a pre-employment physical that includes a drug screen.
  • 1-3 years EPG/electronics and or Diesel Engine Repair experience and or Technical
  • degree a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair all components of back-up generators, both Mechanical and Electrical
  • Understanding of Automatic Transfer Switches(up to 3 phase/ 480 volts)

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the sales of stand-by power solutions which include generators, switchgear and associated technology throughout the territory. This position is responsible for identifying, developing and managing the relationship with key decision makers throughout the development and purchasing process.

  • Execute the sales of Generac stand-by power generators and other technologies to customers in a defined sales area.
  • Provide pre-sale technical assistance when reviewing project requirements. Prepare quotes based on technical specifications. Present to the customer and negotiate terms of the sale.
  • Must be able to read and understand drawings and specifications.
  • Manage your use and the data integrity of our CRM software.
  • Participate in industry tradeshows, networking engagements and other industry events.
  • Manage pricing, product/service mix, and margins according to agreed upon expectations.
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.

Requirements: A Bachelor/Associates degree in electrical technology, mechanical technology, business administration or related field experience required. Equivalent education and relevant work experience may be considered. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.

  • Requires 1 – 3 years of power systems equipment technical sale experience
  • Excellent negotiation skills
