DOCK AND DOOR OVERHEAD REPAIR TECHNICIANS

Requirements

This position requires a minimum 2-years mechanical experience in same or similar position, hand tools and knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems. Industry experience is strongly desired but related background/training will be considered.

Candidates must be able to weld and use a cutting torch. Certified welder are preferred. The ability to operate any power tool and work in outdoor conditions as weather permits for repairs and installations is required. Cannot be afraid of heights. POWER GENERATOR TECHNICIANS

Locations: All 8 Locations

This position is responsible for emergency breakdown and warranty repairs to all makes of generators and accessories, switches and switchgear for existing and new customers, on-site customer relations, ordering parts through the parts department, completion of all associated reporting (our repair orders and time sheets are electronic and completed on a laptop). Maximize billable hours to outside labor; proper care and maintenance of Modern vehicle and tools; maintain schedule of customer commitments. Willingness to work overtime and night hours as required.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated and have had generator repair training (Generac training is a plus), minimum 1+ years’ experience with Generator maintenance or similar experience, automatic transfer switches and engines. Experience with Generac, Cummins, Onan, Kohler, Cat and Asco preferred. Strong troubleshooting and schematic reading skills are essential, and possess necessary tool inventory for repair completion.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office is desired and computer skills are required.
  • A clean driving record is necessary as you will be issued a Modern vehicle and all employees must pass a pre-employment physical that includes a drug screen.

Summary

Prepares, records, and submits warranty claims to the factory and/or distributor and reconciles them accordingly.
